Antique Victorian Edwardian Leather Coin Purse Hardware Dated PAT 1867- 1878

Description

This is a charming little women’s Victorian or Edwardian leather coin purse!
It is leather and two sided.
One side is a flap with 2 accordion compartments.
The top clasp PULLS UP. IT IS FRAGILE! Make sure that you GENTLY PULL IT UP! It exposes another compartment. The hardware is stamped PAT. FEB 12.76 REISSUED SEPT. 10.78
The other is a clasp that flips towards you to expose 2 more compartments. The decorative clasp could be brass but am not positive. It is stamped with PAT. JUN 25 1867
THIS IS FRAGILE! Make sure that you gently pull the clasp towards you to open!
The handle is a double cord with Pom poms on either side and a tassel on the side. It looks like the hardware to hold the tassel has been flattened. It is very delicate.
This is very unique and a wonderful addition to a collection of Victoriana and the fact that it is dated makes it even more special!
