Up for your consideration is this Absolutely Incredible and LARGE Asian Black Lacquered Jewelry Box with Mother of Pearl Geisha Girls on 3 sides. There is not enough that we can say to portray how gorgeous this box really is. It is in near mint condition for being 40-50 years old and the details and craftsmanship are exceptional! Similar jewelry boxes that we have seen are only painted on the front and sides while this one is painted on the

of the door with a decorative floral and leaf design done with lots of gold gilt and silver. The top is a stunning hand painted scene with a colorful lotus flower and bird on the stem. The front and sides each have a pair of Geisha Girls done in Mother of Pearl totaling 6, all different stances and all are individually carved and hand decorated in several different shades of color. This jewelry box has a front door and a side door that come together at a 90 degree angle and are secured with a spring loaded ball latch at the corner. The top lifts up revealing a mirror and compartment with green velvet like lining. The whole interior is lined with the same lovely green lining. There is an open compartment and a compartment for rings on the top. The side door holds necklaces with 4 hanging hooks and the front door opens to reveal 5 drawers. The substantial 4 legged pedestal base has carved decorative arches and features more hand painted decorations and 4 felt pads on each leg to protect your surfaces. The The overall dimensions are 15-1/4" tall x 11-3/4" wide at the base x 8-1/2" deep at the base. This jewelry box is absolutely amazing and will be the perfect addition to your Asian home decor.

CONDITION: This comes to you in overall near mint condition. The only mentionable is 3 tiny dings on the top, one of which is pictured which is the biggest one and 2 smaller ones near the back of the top. Aside from that this is in perfect condition with no cracks or damaged areas. The hand painted areas are still bright and vibrant. All the doors and drawers open and close as they should. The green lining is so clean it appears like this has never had anything stored in it. A truly exceptional piece that is astonishing in person. You really like the thing, but not so much the price...
I find cool stuff, do some research and list it for what I think it's worth. Sounds pretty simple but sometimes not. So if this is something you really like but its a bit more than you had hoped to pay, then be sure to watch this because I can't send it to the bank, and if it ends without a buyer chances are good that I will drop the price and re-list it until it does sell! Two things for sure - it will get sold sooner rather than later, and that's better for both of us.
