Japanese Hand Painted Black Lacquer Jewelry/Trinket Box.
Need to add another layer to your nightstand, bookcase, or console design? This beautiful box adds shape, color, and interest.  The painted red and gold details (trees, volcano, bridge, and hill) are striking against the black lacquer.
The inside is lined with a soft red velvet. The hinged lid works perfectly.
The bottom of the box is stamped with the word "Japan". There are a few scratches on the bottom and side edges. Please see pictures.
