Kyowa decorative black Japanese lacquer jewelry music box with abalone inlay and decorative hand paintings outside and on inside mirror.
Lots of abalone on the Lid.
Wooden box has some paint loss and music box does not play but looks repairable.
Makes a very nice display piece especially if closed.
Probably made in the 1950s.
The brass music box mechanical elements say Kyowa, Tokyo Japan (see pics).
Inside of box is a hot pink velvet cloth.
