VINTAGE JAPANESE BOX
TRINKET, STORAGE OR OBENTO
2-1/2 inches tall, 7 inches wide
A charming antique Japanese box, round with lid.
A lovely pattern on the exterior with golds, blacks and russets.
Interior appears to be true lacquerware, a solid black, can't verify
This piece is
older, there is a bit of loss of finish on the knob
on the lid, there are also
some cracks to the black finish on
the interior of the lid.
A few minor
chips are on the edge where the lid sits
Also one small hairline
crack that descends down 3/8" from
the upper edge, very hard to see
and doesn't compromise the integrity
of the box.
Overall this lovely
box is in excellent vintage condition.
