The 1940's made box has significant surface condition issues - surface stain / paint is scraped off on top of drawer box and around the diorama frame. The mirror edging detail on glass has oxidized / deteriorated. The greenery inside postcard diorama shows slight fading and wear.

    Vintage, Pre-Owned / Used (1940's) Made in Japan Wood Trinket / Jewelry Drawered Box with Attached Mirrored Edged Glass Diorama Postcard (**pictured vintage POSTCARD NOT INCLUDED) Display!
    This unusual trinket box is in "fair" condition (considering age and delicate construction) the stain on surface areas on most of box are scraped and deteriorating.  The mirror edged glass (to display postcard) is oxidized and deteriorated.  The interior greenery of postcard box has faded.  The structure of box is in good shape and glass is intact.  There is a blue "Japan" sticker on the underside base of the footed drawer box.
    This stained wood box w/ drawer & diorama display measures 5.25" and 7" long and 2" depth.  The diorama box measures: 6" x 3.5" (1.25" depth) and will accommodate postcards measuring 5.5" x 3.5"). The trinket box weighs: 6.7 ounces.
